🌻Friday Flower Field Update 🌻

Every Friday, we will give you detailed updates on our flower fields. So, if you are visiting during our Sunflower Festival primarily for the flowers, you can time your visit based on the flower field blooms. 🤠
We are going to have the most BEAUTIFUL spring weekend ahead. A Sunflower Festival weekend NOT in the 90s?! How did we get so lucky?!☀️
While the cooler, and overcast weather has been nice, it has NOT been ideal for our flowers. Our flowers needed that heat and sunshine to push them to grow and bloom.
We are a tad behind schedule due to the almost 5” of rain we’ve had the past two weeks. Thankfully, we have had a break in the rain and the fields are drying out and the flowers are growing. We are starting to see shades of yellow peaking out in our smaller field and it’s exciting! 🌻
So as of now, our smaller field is what will come into bloom for the May 10th- May 23rd dates. We have SO MANY flowers that are so close and starting to bloom for this weekend.
❗️Unfortunately, we will NOT have a field full of flowers for this weekend though. Therefore, a reminder that we will NOT be able to allow you to pick any flowers this weekend❗️
If we did, we would have too many cut out of our fields and we’d risk disappointing you. So, we are going to lose potential flower sales to protect what flowers we do have blooming for y’all to enjoy.
The larger field has been struggling. The flowers are growing but the wet past few weeks has been hard on those flowers and they’ve shown it by turning a lighter green/yellow color. Sunflowers are resilient to an extent and we are still thinking that larger field will pull through and will be blooming just in time for Memorial Day weekend and the weekend after that (May 31-June 1st).
So, if you want the most beautiful weather and some flowers blooming, this weekend is going to be AMAZING! If you want the flower fields in full bloom, we are going to recommend that you wait at least a week. As always, stay tuned for weekly flower field updates!
