๐ป FLOWER FIELD UPDATE 5/6/24 ๐ป:
Weโve had weeks of very little sunshine and a LOT of rain. Weather that makes growing sunflowers very difficult. Our initial planting of our larger sunflower field rotted and we replanted it in mid-April. We prayed the weather pattern would change and weโd get a break from the rain. Unfortunately, it only worsened. We got 6.5โ of rain in the first few days of May.
Our larger sunflower field is struggling with so much moisture and no sunshine/heat.
We have a smaller field of sunflowers (originally planned as our U-Pick field) that is hanging in there due to better soil/drainage. However, stay tuned for weekly flower field updates as we are having to modify our original plan for the large sunflower maze, photo ops and U-Pick.
We are expecting our smaller sunflower field sometime around Memorial Day, and if our larger field pulls through, we are expecting it in early/mid June.
The zinnia field actually looks good considering the weather weโve had this spring!
If you are planning your visit solely based on the flower fields, stay tuned to our social media pages and our website for frequent updates on the flower fields! We are still going to have a lot of fun on the farm this spring, our flower field plans are just unfortunately being modified due to the weather. The flower fields in 2023 were AMAZING due to perfect growing conditions. Some years you get them and other years are a mess (like this year). Either way, it wonโt stop the fun on the farm this spring! See yโall soon!

Each May & June the flower fields at Western Belle are bursting full of color! Acres of beautiful Sunflowers and Zinnias await you! Take a stroll through the flower fields, take photos at our various unique photo ops, and at the end of your visit, pick your very own bouquet to take home!
Customers drive from all over Texas (and even parts of Arkansas and Oklahoma!) to experience the beautiful flower fields we have at Western Belle. We’ve been growing these flowers for well over 6 years now and we take great pride in the lessons we’ve learned and the time and effort we put into making our fields “extra magical”.
We try our best to have flowers blooming by mid-May. We plant as soon as we can in late March (once soil temps are within range) and we can usually have our first flowers blooming just after Mother’s Day. Always check our social media and website for updates on the flower field progress. We give weekly flower field updates so you can plan your visit accordingly!
No need to bring your own containers or clippers, we will provide clippers for you to borrow and you can either purchase a container or we will give you a small plastic flower bag and zip tie to get your flowers home on water!
During our Sunflower Festival at the farm, we have over 20+ activities for all ages to enjoy, plus our flower fields to experience. This is truly a festival for all ages to enjoy! You will need to plan to spend at least 2-3 hours minimum at the farm!
We recommend coming toward the evening hours for an even better experience! (There is nothing like a Texas sunset in a flower field!)
